Christmas has truly arrived with Birchwood’s Music department’s annual Carols by Candlelight Service that took place on Wednesday 18 December at St Michael’s Church.
Isabelle Ramsay sang a fabulous solo “Once in Royal David City” as well as beautiful choir arrangements for Vocalise, Senior Choir, and Year 9 and 10 singers filling the church with harmonious singing. The Reverend Williams lead the service with readings from Mr C Gilbank – Deputy Principal, Anya Seifert, Matthew Reader, Mrs P Fowell and Lauren Gore. Mince pies and mulled wine gave the evening a special Christmas spirit.
