For many years Birchwood High School has demonstrated its commitment to ensuring the Physical and Mental Fitness of all its 1500 Students and Staff. Birchwood has an excellent tradition of Community access and engagement, and we are now at an exciting juncture where Birchwood is delighted to announce significant growth in its Sports and Leisure facilities to support the growing demand of the Birchwood and Bishop’s Stortford communities.

These exhibition pages display the current planning application proposals for the Dunmow Road site:

• The purpose of the consultation is to inform and seek the views of local residents and other interested parties.
• The proposals will in due course be the subject of a detailed planning application that will be submitted to the Hertfordshire County Planning Authority once all the comments on the current scheme have been received and evaluated.
• It may be that, prior to the submission of planning application, we will make some changes to the current proposals as a result of outcomes from this public consultation.
