Induction Process 25/26
Welcome to Birchwood High School Sixth Form — we’re excited that you’re joining us.
This page includes everything you need to know about the next steps to a successful start to your Sixth Form journey — including key dates, what to expect from Induction, and access to important documents.
Induction Day 1 – Tuesday 8 July 2025
We can’t wait to welcome you to your first official day as a Birchwood Sixth Form student.
Please make sure you’ve registered for Induction Day 1 via the Applicaa link sent to you — if you haven’t received this, please get in touch with the school as soon as possible using admin@birchwoodhigh.org.uk.
On the day, you’ll:
- Meet your fellow students and start building new friendships
- Take part in taster sessions for your chosen subjects
- Receive your Induction Pack with essential course info and guidance
- Be set your summer pre-learning tasks to help prepare for Year 12
It’s a great opportunity to get a real feel for Sixth Form life and ask any questions you may have about the subjects you’ve chosen. Make the most of it!
Results Day – Thursday 21 August 2025
Once you’ve received your GCSE results, you’ll need to confirm your place at Birchwood. Full instructions on how to do this will be included in your Induction Day 1 pack. If you do not confirm your place with us, we will not be expecting you in September.
Induction Day 2 – Friday 5 September 2025
After confirming your place, you’ll return to Birchwood for a second induction day to help you settle in and hit the ground running. More details will be sent to you closer to the time.
