EPA Faculty
Birchwood Artists will have success and make mistakes, but can transform failures into successes, both resulting in creative responses to the world around them.
Birchwood Dance & Drama Creatives speak, listen, collaborate and perform. They are brave. They are risk takers. They are empathetic in equal measure
Birchwood Musicians study music through listening and appraising, composing and performing allowing all students to become confident, creative, multi-skilled and culturally enriched. We encourage a lifelong passion for music

Primary Music Festival
The Birchwood Music department and Bishop’s Stortford Music School, were very pleased to welcome over 30 musicians from All Saints, St Michaels, Manor Fields and Thorley Hill primary school’s for our annual primary school orchestra workshop. The students worked tirelessly alongside our Birchwood Orchestra to produce two pieces, “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Rock.com”, which were performed to parents at the end of the event. We’d like to thank all that were involved and particularly Peter Foster from Herts Music Service for helping organise such a fun event.
